The “Best Defense” Self-defense workshop has been scheduled for Saturday, November 9, 2013, from 1:30 until approximately 4:00 p.m. at the Princess Anne Rec Center. This free program is open to the public – you don’t have to be a Rec Center member to attend either. The instructor will briefly present personal safety and home security information, and then attendees will break out into different stations where they will learn hands-on moves to escape from a variety of choke-holds and grabs, as well as various distraction techniques. We have had participants of all ages, ability levels, and sizes – the feedback received over the years on these programs has always been unanimously positive.
The holidays are right around the corner and, unfortunately, that means so is that spike in holiday-related crime we often see. Don’t become another victim – learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from potentially dangerous situations.
